River Flush Mississippi

The Mississippi River Flush was conducted April 27 -May 5 2007. There were eight in the traveling prayer team and several home teams providing prayer coverage both for the Mississippi team and for all the river flushes. We prayed at the following locations:

  • Lake Itasca Minnesota - Headwaters of the Mississippi River - We began in humility

  • Bemidji Minnesota - We had a large group of intercessors - We learned to roar our intercessions back and forth across the river

  • Andrusia Lake/Case Lake Minnesota - Leech Lake Reservation - Several intercessors had the experience of going back in time as we entered the reservation. We prayed to bring back the Indian Nations to their full fruitfulness

  • Sauk Rapids Minnesota - local park along Mississippi River - Good turnout of local intercessors

  • St Paul Minnesota - Fort Snelling Park - Confluence of Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers - Met Minnesota River Flush team and local intercessors here

  • Point Douglas Park Minnesota - Prescott Wisconsin - Confluence of St Croix and Mississippi Rivers - The St Croix forms the boundary between Minnesota and Wisconsin and here flows into the Mississippi. Point Douglass Park is on the Minnesota side and Prescott on the Wisconsin side.

  • Lake Pepin - Confluence Border of Chippewa and Mississippi Rivers

  • La Crosse Wisconsin - Mississippi River

  • Wyalusing State Park - Confluence of Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers - Near Prairie du Chien Wisconsin - Prayed with Wisconsin intercessory leaders

  • Dubuque Iowa - Mississippi River - Near Intersection of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa - Prayed with Iowa intercessory leaders

  • Grafton Illinois - Confluence with the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers

  • Elsah Illinois - Principia College - Mississippi River

  • West Alton Illinois - Confluence of Missouri and Mississippi Rivers - This is where the Missouri and Mississippi River Flush teams joined forces for the remainder of the journey.

  • St Louis Missouri - Courthouse - At St Louis, we prayed for the reversal of the beliefs behind the Dred Scott Decision, which kept black people from full freedom. As we prayed along with the great-granddaughter of Dred Scott, a great thunderclap appeared to bring us God’s positive answer.

  • Arnold Missouri - Confluence of Meramec and Mississippi Rivers

  • Ste Genevieve Missouri County Courthouse

  • Grand Tower Illinois - Confluence of Big Muddy and Mississippi Rivers

  • Cairo Illinois - Fort Defiance - Confluence of Ohio and Mississippi Rivers - Prayed here with Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio teams.

  • Blytheville Arkansas - We prayed at an abandoned gas station just over the boundary from Missouri

  • West Memphis Arkansas - Mississippi River - Prayed here to raise up the Arkansas side of the border

  • Memphis Tennessee - Prayed at both the Memphis Pyramid and Mud Island River Park. Mud Island has a large replica of the Mississippi River which we used as a basis for praying for the river locations.

  • Arkansas Post - Near Confluence of Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers - Large contingent of Arkansas intercessors, Arkansas River Flush team joined Mississippi, Missouri, and Ohio teams for powerful time of worship and prayer, after series of tornadoes kept the teams separate for hours.

  • Vicksburg Mississippi - Confluence of Yazoo and Mississippi Rivers - Prayers included a contingent of Mississippi intercessors

  • Natchez Mississippi -Mississippi River - Repented about Indian eradication in this area

  • Atchafalaya-Mississippi Control Structure - The Red River in Louisiana merges with the Atchafalaya, which in turn almost merges with the Mississippi, but actually has its own feed with the Gulf of Mexico. As series of locks and dams control the flow of both the Mississippi and Atchafalaya to reduce floods.

  • Baton Rouge Louisiana - Mississippi River

  • New Orleans Louisiana - Mississippi River - We had much to pray here, and were joined by Louisiana and Mississippi intercessors.

  • Venice Louisiana - Mississippi River - Members of the Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Arkansas, and Red-Atchafalaya teams plus intercessory leaders from Louisiana and Mississippi joined us here. And we also joined in worship and celebration with groups around the country who joined us in our celebration.

River Flush Missouri

The Missouri River Flush was conducted April 22-27 2007 though the team continued with the Mississippi Team to the end of the journey in Venice Louisiana. The traveling “away team” consisted of three members. Many other teams and intercessors met the travelers in different locations. A home team provided intercessory coverage. There were three base teams praying for the journey throughout. Over 200 intercessors were involved in the prayers from Montana to St Louis and all the way to Venice Louisiana.

The team prayed in the following locations:

  • Headwaters of the Missouri River - prayed here for the blessing of the entire river and broke off the spiritual powers that have tried to bind it

  • Helena Montana - Fire Tower - Guardian of the Gulch - in the capital city, repented for government that resisted the truths of God’s word, invited God’s Holy Spirit fire instead of the fire of judgment

  • Great Falls Montana - Black Eagle Dam - prayed for the release of the rivers of life

  • Great Falls Montana - Ryan Dam - prayed for greater depth of the waters of life in the Spirit of God

  • Jordan Montana - We had decided to repent for the Freeman Standoff which took place in 1992, where rebellion was held against the United States. On the way to that location, God arranged at lunch for the team to meet the man at a cafe in another town Karl Ohs who was responsible for ending the standoff. This gave the team authority to repent and stand against false authority in the state

  • Fort Peck Dam Montana - broke off occult influence on wealth and repented for resisting the refining of the Lord and asked him to bring new refineries for the oil in the land

  • Fort Buford North Dakota - Confluence of Yellowstone River and Missouri River - blessed the Fort Berthold Indian Agency and prayed for the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Indian peoples. Prayed to break the occult power of the Thunderbird spirit here

  • Sidney Montana - The Montana component of the team returned home but prayed as directed in Sidney along the Yellowstone River for God to release a new refinery here

  • Selfridge North Dakota - Standing Rock Indian Reservation - Episcopal Church of the Cross - along Missouri River - in front of a mural on the face of the church, prayed for the uniting of the city to bring in the Lord’s harvest

  • Oahe Chapel - Oahe Dam Visitor Center - Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation - near Pierre South Dakota - This was a Christian residential school with all of the mixed results. Prayed for Spirit of truth to bring a new identity especially for First Nations people as warriors for God

River Flush Red

The Red River Flush was conducted as part of the River Flush USA at the beginning of May 2007. The team actually explored and prayed at the former source of the river near Tucumcari New Mexico. The river has dried up so much that as of 2007 its headwaters was actually the Prairie Dog Town Branch near Canyon Texas. Another unique feature of the Red River is that, while it originally flowed into the Mississippi River, the flow was changed to control flooding on the lower Mississippi so it now flows into the Atchafalaya River is Louisiana which receives some of the flow of the Mississippi as well as the Red and empties separately into the Gulf of Mexico.

The Red-Atchafalaya River Flush teams prayed at the following locations:

  • Canyon Texas - on the Prairie Dog Town Branch of the Red River

  • Quanah Texas - Red River

  • Denison Texas at Lake Texoma, formed by the Denison Dam from the Red River

  • Shreveport Louisiana - Red River

  • Breaux Bridge Louisiana - On the Bayou Teche water course. Even though not on the Atchafalaya River course, hundreds of years ago Bayou Teche was part of the Mississippi River water course on the way to its earlier delta

  • Berwick Louisiana - close to the mouth of the Atchafalaya River.

River Flush Ohio

The Ohio River Flush Journey was conducted by a team of 15 April 28-May 2 2007. The Allegheny River was treated as part of the Ohio since it is the largest tributary. The map of the journey showed the Ohio River in dark blue, related river flush journeys are shown in purple, and Ohio Ricer tributaries are shown in lighter blue. Following the merge with the Mississippi and Missouri River teams and others in Cairo, several members continued to the end of the journey in Venice Louisiana. The journey included the following prayer locations:

  • Portville New York- about 30 miles from the headwaters of the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania.

  • Salamanca New York - Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino - Allegany Indian Reservation

  • Warren Pennsylvania - Along the Conawango Creek which flows from Lake Chatauqua - prayed against false religious structures (since the Chatauqua movement resists Christian belief)

  • Oil City Pennsylvania - Prayed against strong Catholic and Masonic influences as well as the Spirit of Mammon

  • Freeport Pennsylvania - At the Kiskiminetas River, which served as a link between the Mississippi and the Susquehanna River - Prayed cleansing of unrighteousness

  • Paducah Kentucky - Confluences with the Cumberland River and Tennessee River - Both of these rivers had their own river flush - Here we prayed repentance for bigotry and racism and asked spirit and truth and unity to come to the Body of Christ

  • Wickliffe Kentucky - Confluence Cross - This location is actually on the Mississippi River - Prayed in concert with the Mississippi and Missouri River Flush teams - we cried out for purity

  • Cairo Illinois - Fort Defiance - Confluence of the Mississippi River and the Ohio River - Met up with the Wabash River Flush team as well as the Mississippi and Missouri teams. Changed the name of the place to “Fort Obedience”. - Sealed all of the Ohio River Flush prayers in the power of the Word and of Jesus’ blood

River Flush Tennessee

Praying for the Tennessee River was a multiple year project for J Mark Rodgers and his team, and much of the prayer was done from on deck of a boat that motored the waters. This prayer was considered to be in harmony with the River Flush USA. The team prayed specifically at the following locations:

  • Headwaters of the Tennessee River - Also the Confluence of the Holston and French Broad Rivers

  • Knoxville Tennessee

  • Confluence of the Hiwassee and Tennessee Rivers

  • Chattanooga Tennessee

  • Huntsville Alabama

  • Florence Alabama

  • Paducah Kentucky - This is the location of the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers. Also the Cumberland River travels a parallel path and enters the Ohio just a few miles upstream in Smithland Kentucky.

River Flush Cumberland

The Cumberland River Prayer Journey was the final piece of the River Flush USA which had set out to cleanse the circulatory system of the United States in its heartland. By the time we had conducted the RIver Flush USA in early May 2007, we realized that The Call in Nashville, which was to be 07/07/07 would be only a couple of months later, so we set out to cleanse the Cumberland, which flows through Nashville, in June 2007. We had a large team composed primarily of veterans from the earlier River Flush USA.

Most river journeys begin at the headwaters and proceed to the mouth, just as the river does. In this case, we began at the mouth and proceeded to the headwaters. We were proceeding from a cleansed location, the Ohio River to an area that needed to be cleansed. Several other unique features:

a) We payed special attention to Nashville, the site of The Call

b) We prayed at three different forks at the headwaters to be more complete

c) We prayed at Cumberland Falls, a place of power that was part of the river system

d) After we completed the river, we proceeded to Mammoth Cave to pray at this large under the earth network

e) A later journey was arranged to pray at the locations involved in the Cane Ridge Revival.

For the Cumberland River Flush, our team prayed at the following locations:

  • Smithland Kentucky - Confluence of the Cumberland and Ohio Rivers

  • Grand Rivers Kentucky - This town is placed near the dams for both the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers and is therefore near to both Kentucky Lake (Tennessee River) and Lake Barkley (Cumberland River)

  • Fort Donelson National Battlefield Kentucky/Tennessee - This was an important Civil War battlefield - a place where we prayed for a lot of forgiveness.

  • Clarksville Tennessee

  • Nashville Tennessee - Capitol Building - Prayed especially at the Andrew Jackson sculpture - as Jackson was a powerful president, but did much harm to the Indian nations during his presidency

  • Nashville Tennessee - BellSouth Building (Currently “AT&T Building” and known as the “Batman Building” - prayed here for the spiritual communication network over Nashville and along the Cumberland River

  • Nashville Tennessee - Centennial Park Parthenon - Prayed here for the dismantling of Greek culture and thinking among Christians and the re-establishment of Kingdom and Spirit based culture. Prayed for some individuals we met on the steps.

  • Nashville - Gaylord Resort - The Gaylord was the scheduled meeting place for some events associated with the Call. Also, their garden area had waters and fish from around the world. We prayed here for both The Call and for rivers around the world

  • Nashville Tennessee - Grand Ole Opry House - We prayed for country music to be purified

  • Nashville Tennessee - Nissan Stadium - Site of The Call in 2007 - Home of the Tennessee Titans football team - Formerly called LP Field - Prayed for The Call

  • Carthage Tennessee - Cumberland River

  • Celina Tennessee - Cumberland River- Just outside Celina is the Dale Hollow Dam and Lake

  • Burkesville Kentucky - Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park - Cumberland River - We prayed for the large amount of recreational lakes along the Cumberland to be freed from demonic powers that use the river systems

  • Jamestown Kentucky - Wolf Creek Dam - Cumberland River - We stopped at this dam because we heard it was failing due to seepage and the type of construction it had. Of course, we prayed that it would not fail. Since then, there has been ongoing remediation.

  • Burnside Kentucky - Confluence of Big South Fork Cumberland and Cumberland Rivers - We prayed for the blessing of the areas to the south the South Form of the Cumberland River flows through.

  • Somerset Kentucky - Confluence of Rockcastle and Cumberland Rivers

  • Cumberland Falls - Cumberland Falls State Resort Park - This was a place of power along the river. One of the team threw his Bible in the stream as he prayed that all would receive the word, and the Bible went over the falls, open!

  • Barbourville Kentucky - Cumberland River - After this location, our group split into three subteams to cover the three main headwaters forks of the Cumberland and then we regathered at Mammoth Cave

  • Eolia Kentucky - Headwaters Poor Fork Cumberland River - Subteam 1

  • Clover Fork Cumberland River - This is a headwaters tributary within 2 miles of the Virginia border. This was prayed over by subteam 2

  • Smith Kentucky - Martins Fork Lake and Dam - Martins Fork Cumberland River - Subteam 3

  • Kettle Island Kentucky - Martins Fork Cumberland River - Subteam 3

  • Mammoth Cave National Park - Mammoth Cave - The united team prayed that even under the earth would be cleansed for this cave

River Flush Minnesota

The Minnesota River Flush team exemplified the purpose of our entire effort. Dakota Sioux Indians in 1862 were restricted to reservations along the Minnesota River, but were cheated out of land and starved by exchanges that were never fulfilled by the U.S. government. This led to Indians attacking settlers, which then became the excuse for making war on the Indians. In the war many settlers and even more Indians were killed. The Indians lost their reservations and 38 of them were hanged for their part in the uprising. Even to this day, Minnesota has paid a great price for this blot on its history.

The Minnesota River Flush team prayed at a number of locations not on the river per se, including Fort Ridgely and the Upper Sioux Agency, and they prayed at the following locations on the Minnesota River:

  • Ortonville - at the bridge over the dam between Big Stone Lake and the beginning of the Minnesota River

  • Granite Falls - where a descendant of one of those executed prayed a blessing on the prayer journey

  • Redwood Ferry Crossing - on the Little Sioux Agency near Redwood Falls, where hostile Indians ambushed and killed over 30 soldiers. Here there was much repentance and much prayer for reconciliation and healing. At this location, a member of the team received a powerful vision of a 40-50 foot tall angel called Revival, where whites and Indians walked on him like a bridge to become reconciled.

  • Mankato Reconciliation Park - at the white buffalo statue. Again, white and Indian joined together to pray. The white buffalo signifies family reconciliation but also the washing by the blood of Jesus. Mankato is where the Minnesota River makes a huge bend and the river moves from flowing from north to south to now flowing south to north - thus Mankato is here attitudes are changed in repentance.

  • Sibley Park - this is where Indians were confined as they waited for unjust judgment and execution. During worship, seven eagles took flight.

  • St Peter - the unjust treaty was signed here in 1851 that took more land from the Indians

  • Le Sueur - here is where many of the bones of the bodies of the executed Indians were held and not returned to their tribes and families.

  • Fort Snelling - many intercessors gathered here to pray where the Minnesota River merges with the Mississippi.

River Flush Wisconsin

The Wisconsin River Flush included the following stops:

  • Lac Vieux Desert (means “old clearing” among the French Canadiens) - This river is on the boundary of Michigan and Wisconsin and is the headwaters of the Wisconsin River. It is fed by underground springs and the character of the prayers here was that all of the state would be fed by the life of the Holy Spirit bubbling up and flowing through

  • Rhinelander - This up river community was named after the man who ran the railroad to attract the railroad to transport logs. Later, it became known for a fanciful monster, the hodag. So, on the one hand the community was deceiving, but on the other hand prophetic, summoning God to act on their behalf.

  • Merrill Council Ground State Park - This is the land the Chippewa Indian tribe would meet. This area was known for the ways the Indians were cursed by disease being purposely released on them by the Europeans, which in turn brought a curse on the region. So the broken covenants were repented for and new covenants released.

  • Stevens Point - This was another logging town, but also a control point for the level of rivers. Prayers up and down the river were for spiritual gates to be open and spiritual palaces to be overthrown.

  • Wisconsin Dells - Prayers were just outside the Ho Chunk tribe burial grounds. Throughout this region, the peoples worshipped their gods by burying their dead in mounds shaped in effigies - in the shape of the god they worshipped. The prayers in this area were for the blood of Jesus to swallow up the atmosphere of death, and the life of Jesus to bring new life to the region.

  • Portage - This is the location that connected the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers to the Great Lakes via the Fox River. Originally canoes were carried between the Wisconsin and the Fox, but eventually a canal was dug to connect the. Prayers were given for God to help the people to cross over to the place of his power and sovereignty.

  • Wyalusing State Park (near Prairie du Chien) - this is the location of the merging of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. Wyalusing means “home of the warrior”. This was also the place of the meeting of the tribes. Prayers were released here for communion in the Lord to bring life instead of death and unity instead of disunity.

River Flush Current

The Current River Flush initiative was conducted in Spring 2007. The Current River is a tributary of the Black River which in turn is a tributary of the White River which merges with the Mississippi River in Arkansas. The Current is unusual because it is fed by at least 15 springs. Both the name of the river and how it is fed speak of “spiritual flows”. Thus, the springs became the focus for the cleansing of the river. We used seven different teams to pray at nine different springs. All of the locations were in Missouri though the lower part of the river is in Arkansas. Here are the prayer locations:

  • Montauk Springs

  • Welch Spring

  • Pulltite Spring

  • Round Spring

  • Ebb and Flow Spring

  • Clint Williams Spring

  • Gravel Spring

  • Watercress Spring

  • Big Spring
