This was a great experience! As part of the prayer leadership team for the 2011 New Jersey Will Graham Celebration, we proposed a prayer tour of the two counties that were part of the celebration. The point was to see where we live and pray all around the periphery
This was a great experience! As part of the prayer leadership team for the 2011 New Jersey Will Graham Celebration, we proposed a prayer tour of the two counties that were part of the celebration. The point was to see where we live and pray all around the periphery
Two County Prayer Locations
We prayed on the periphery of Monmouth and Ocean Counties:
1 - Calvary Lighthouse Church
2 - Seaside Heights
3 - Mystic Island
4 - New Egypt
5 - Clifwood Beach
6 - Highlands
7 - Ocean Grove
Calvary Lighthouse - Lakewood NJ
This was our first prayer journey by air conditioned bus. We started at Calvary Lighthouse in Lakewood, which had been the location of several large gatherings for worship in advance of the Jersey Shore Celebration with Will Graham. We gathered in one of their side buildings for coffee and worship. We talked some about what we do in a prayer journey, and then we prayed.
Seaside Heights NJ
This location at the north end of Seaside Heights on the beach has been the location of numerous prayer times. We greatly prayed here for the deliverance of many at the Jersey Shore.
Mystic Island NJ
We prayed at the southernmost point of Ocean County at the end of Radio Road, right on the Great Bay and across from Atlantic City. We prayed here for all of southern Ocean County to hear and receive the Gospel.
New Egypt NJ
This was the most powerful of our prayer stops. New Egypt is the center of New Jersey. In this location, at a Christmas Tree farm, we were able to tear down racism in a beautiful moment given to us by God.
Clifwood Beach NJ
Clifwood Beach is the farthest west location of Monmouth County along the beach. We prayed on the beach for all of Monmouth County.
Mt Mitchell - Highlands NJ
Mt Mitchell provides both a war memorial and a memorial to 9/11. From the high overlook it is possible to see downtown Manhattan. From here we prayed for all of the water locations as well as northeastern Monmouth County.
Great Auditorium - Ocean Grove NJ
Our final prayer location was also the site of the Jersey Shore Celebration - the Great Auditorium. Here we were able to pray for all those who would come.
