Toms River 2 - 2013
In 2009 a team from Shore Vineyard prayed along the Toms River from its source in Monmouth County to the city of Toms River. We were now praying for the navigable part of the river. In 2012 Superstorm Sandy flooded the river and wiped out the local Halloween Parade. We believed that we needed to complete this initiative prior to the 2013 Halloween Parade.

Toms River 2 Prayer Locations
In 2009, we had prayed from the source of the Toms River in Monmouth County to the location of our future home at the intersection of Toms River and South Toms River. We were now completing the journey, praying at four locations - Huddy Park, Ocean Gate, Island Heights, and Seaside Park.
Toms River - Huddy Park
Our team, all from Shore Vineyard, gathered at Huddy Park, about 100 yards from our church building. From here, we pulled down all the prayers that have been prayed in the region. We blessed the church of the region and the municipalities. And we blessed the river itself, which had flooded this park a year only. We thanked God for his outpouring over the region.
Ocean Gate - AT&T Long Lines Building
This is a strategic location on the south side of the river near the mouth. The AT&T Long Lines was the primary US origination point for Ship-to-Shore communications during all the war years up until 1999. This site was also a key Indian site with many pools for oysters and clams. We prayed here for the strategic prayer and communication all over the region.
Island Heights - Methodist Camp Meeting
This was a great location to pray for the church of the region. Island Heights is a great community but can feel like a well off enclave. We prayed that the church of the region would be out among the people. We prayed that there would be a new move of God at least as powerful as the Methodist movement.
